February 19, 2021Construction Update: February 19, 2021The new E. Frontage Rd. alignment connecting to Placentia Ave. in Perris is expected to open on Monday morning, February 22. Placentia Ave. will also extend east from E. Frontage Rd. to Indian Ave.There will be lane closures on Friday night, February 19 on I-215 in Perris near Placentia Ave. Northbound lanes will be reduced from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., southbound lanes will be reduced from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. One lane will be open at all times, but please expect delays and allow extra travel time.Please watch for construction workers and vehicles entering and exiting the work area along I-215 and on E. Frontage Rd. Remember, the speed limit in our I-215 construction zone is 55 mph.Project ProgressView of new E. The project will add northbound and southbound ramps, realign E. Frontage Rd., widen the Placentia overcrossing, and add lanes from Harvill Ave. to Indian Ave. RCTC expects to open the interchange in summer 2022. This interchange is Construction Contract #1 of RCTC’s Mid County Parkway Project, which will provide a new 16-mile east-west route between Perris and San Jacinto.Construction AreaStay Connected657-291-5550
