Planting California Natives Workshop
Dear Valley Residents,
Valley Beautiful has a new name - Valley Beautiful Garden Club - and a new program beginning Tuesday, September 10! We will be partnering with the UC Master Gardeners to offer monthly workshops on a variety of water-wise landscaping topics tailored to Valley residents. Please join us at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, September 10, at Valley-Wide Sports Center, 901 W. Esplanade Ave, San Jacinto for our first meeting of the new year, and a workshop, “Planting California Natives”, to be presented by UC Master Gardener Becky Levers.
Please see the attached flyer for other details regarding our new program offerings. The meeting will be in Modular Building #1 located on the east end of the Ball Field Parking Lot.
Other plans for our new program include home garden tours, a special springtime garden festival, and a campaign to recognize well-maintained water-wise front yard and business entry spaces in the Valley.
We will continue to add to the beauty of our Valley by our maintenance and expansion of demonstration garden sites at the Ramona Bowl, the Hemet Historic Train Depot and the Estudillo Heritage Park Water Conservation Garden on the grounds of the San Jacinto Museum. We would love to have your help! No experience needed! It is a great way to learn about water-wise plants and their care.
Just call or email Valley Beautiful Garden Club President, Katherine Botts, for more information: 951-719-9868 or katherinebotts@gmail.com .
